Thanks for sending the beautiful basket to my "children" this past weekend. They called us Saturday morning to tell us how thoughtful and wonderful it was. Spoke with my Mom yesterday, and I had to email and thank you for the wonderful basket you made for her! She was so thrilled with the way it turned out -- said she was off at graduation (Coastal's -- she's a teacher there) when the basket was delivered, so my stepfather received it (he was in on the whole thing). Couldn't get over how beautiful it was, and how many wonderful goodies were in there. She loved everything....they scarfed down the praline pecan shortbread right away, couldn't wait to make the She-Crab soup and the Creamy Grits from 82 Queen (I told her about the place...she's never been), thought the Pasta was adorable, couldn't wait to try everything in the basket -- and went on and on about the note cards and coasters, how original they were, how beautiful everything was....especially the "pretty green bow" and the magnolias....the "lowcountry" theme was exactly what she wanted. ...and then, the basket itself. She has another tray/basket and she's been searching for something to coordinate with it for years (she and her mother had given it as a gift to her aunt -- her mom's sister -- years ago, and it came back to her when her aunt passed away years ago...it's one of her treasures). She says this is "perfect" -- and she's going to sit them next to each other...they look beautiful together, like they were meant that way. A wonderful gift that she'll be able to enjoy for years.
